First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has said Kenyan farmers will soon not need to use fertiliser on their farms.
The First Lady further said the ongoing rains will be endless and give farmers sufficient time to cultivate crops.
Mama Rachel said farmers in Uganda do not use fertiliser because of a prayer revival that happened in the country.
She said Kenya will experience a similar prayer revival that will end the reliance of Kenyan farmers on fertilisers.
The First Lady recounted an occassion during a visit to Uganda where she said she found the country green at a time Kenya was very dry.
"We flew there and when I landed, it was very green and yet Kenya was so dry, I remember making a prayer and telling God, 'God why can't Kenya be like Uganda?', and see what God has done," she said.
The First Lady was speaking during a thanksgiving service at KICC on Monday.
She said God listened to her prayers and Kenya has been receiving rains, which will facilitate farming.
"I got an answer the other day, the reason Uganda is very fertile and it has been raining is because of the East Africa Revival that swept Uganda and some parts of East Africa," she said.
According to the First Lady, the Revival prayers made it possible for farmers to plant crops without using fertiliser.
"Now the Revival has come to Kenya. In days to come, these rains will not come to an end, we shall not be using fertiliser, we shall be growing our crops and they will be growing and we shall have plenty."
